Orgaz Nursery School offers an alternative learning to the Early Years Education. Our children are able to start school from the age of 2 learning in English.
Our School follows the 6 main areas of learning according to the British Curriculum. We help the children to achieve their objectives in each age group, making sure there´s a continuation between them.
Based on our experience we can say that our children make the most of their development, learning in a fun and motivating way.
PRE-NURSERY (2-3 YEARS OLD), NURSERY (3-4 YEARS OLD), AND RECEPTION (4-5 YEARS OLD) AREAS OF LEARNING:
1) Personal, Social and Emotional Development: Children learn to have good self esteem, positive relationships and be interested in the world around them.
2) Communication, Language and Literacy: The children start learning English through nursery rhymes, fairy tales and songs. We teach reading by using the “Jolly Phonics” method.
Speaking and Listening – Reading – Writing
3) Mathemathics development: We use “Numicom”, which is based on numicon pieces that represent numbers and shapes.
4) Knowledge and Understanding of the World: Children explore the world around them through topic based work.
5) Physical Development: Children explore the world around them, through the use of their bodies during gym time and by developing fine and gross motor skills in class.
6) Creative Development: Children use their creative side through their understanding of colours, textures, shapes and music.
YEAR 1 (5-6 YEARS OLD)
All the areas are clearly separated but they also interconnect with one another. In all the curriculum areas we develop the children’s imagination through fun learning activities.
