General information

Teaching and learning

Our school follows the British Curriculum from one to five years old, and offers our children all the possibilities to achieve the learning of the English language without effort.

We provide the best way to start their education, helping them to achieve a good development in a loving and caring environment.

Our effort is directed to the knowledge of English from the very early years, working through games and creating a fun way of learning.

The main objective is to ensure a safe and warm environment where they can make friends and grow through playing and exploration. We provide the children the preparation they need for their Primary years.

The Foundation Stage Profile

Throughout the foundation stage, as part of the learning and teaching process, practitioners need to assess each child´s development in relation to the stepping stones and early learning goals that form part of the Curriculum guidance for the foundation stage. These assessments are made on the basis of the practitioner´s accumulating observations and knowledge of the whole child. By the end of the final year of the foundation stage, the Foundation stage Profile will provide a way of summing up that knowledge.

Six big areas of learning

The Curriculum guidance for the foundation stage sets out six areas of learning covering children´s physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. All six of these areas of learning are included in the Profile.

  • Personal, social and emotional development.
  • Communication, language and literacy.
  • Mathematical development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world.
  • Physical development.
  • Creative development.

A record of children´s development across all of these areas provides a picture of the whole child at the end of the foundation stage.
